We don't have a shop on site. There's a small range of shops in Trefriw and a decent Somerfield in Llanrwst [4 miles] with larger units at Llandudno Junction [14 miles] (Tesco and Bookers). Betws y Coed [7 miles] offers a small range of shops, 5 top outdoor equipment shops and mountain bike hire. Members of the Scout Association receive generous discounts on production of ID from Blacks and other outdoor shops in Betwys.
As the Centre is heavily used throughout the year you are advised to plan your visit well in advance.
The reservation process
Why aren't the dates you told me were available, free anymore?
We only start that process when you tell us explicitly that you want us to. The email confirming availability tells you that you must get back to us and tell us that you want us to reserve the dates for ten days. If you don't do that, the next person asking for the dates might get them.
We aim to send out a receipt by email or snail-mail the same day. If you didn't get a receipt or acknowledgement within five days, you should contact us. We're easy to get hold of!
"I'll pay you when we get there as we don't know how many campers we'll have"
It's true that numbers can vary up to the last minute (we've all run our own Scout groups) but it is a condition that we get the approximate full payment in at least three weeks before your visit. Any adjustments can be made when you arrive.
